A proper Championship game, one past Millwall manager and one present
Roll on Saturday and away to Ipswich Town and some Championship football. I have high hopes of us getting something from this game but as always, Millwall cautious. After the Rotherham game it become obvious that the team still had it in them to under perform and to leave us flat. The Rotherham game reminded me of last year and hopefully that was that as we have a good team and some good players and as the other seasons games confirm we can play a bit as well as grind out results. Ipswich with Mick McCarthy always give us a game and I expect a hard solid performance from Millwall with a bit of flair thrown in, but if it means three points with out the flair I'll still be happy. I wonder if the Spaniard will play.
That didn't go well
We had more shots on target, more shots off target and more possession but we lost this one, We were bright in the first half but hopeless after the break. Sounds a bit familiar to me and after we went 1-0 down on the stroke of half time we wilted and offered zilch in the second half. Would we have had more of a chance if Lee Martin and Lee Gregory had not been injured? not sure and we will never know but it couldn't have helped. We drop to 7th place and 4 points off of the top spot which is held by Forest.
