Milwall FC: One step forward, two steps back, Game 9 and Game 10

I said after the Forest game " the whole team done well and kept going right to the end of the game" I am afraid I cannot say that after the Huddersfield away game and Birmingham at home game. We are going backwards and have not improved in any position on the pitch. We are weak in defence and scoring goals to win games is a mystery to us.

Last five games

Ipswich away lost 2-0
Reading away lost 3-2
Forest home drew 0-0
Huddersfield away lost 2-1
Birmingham home lost 3-1        Scored four conceded ten

That's not hard to do, there wasn't much to get us out of our seats

According to Ian Holloway we have a soft underbelly. I know we have injuries and critical injuries at that but surely the squads big enough to cope with a few players missing . It appears not and with Lee Martin and Carlos Edwards not available our world is falling apart. I know that's not really the case but that's how it felt watching them Tuesday night being put to the sword by a very average Birmingham City side. There was some pluses Tuesday night, Lee Gregory scored his first Millwall goal and Adien O'Brien  made his League debut when he came on for the second half and done alright as he set Gregory up for his goal.

We did have a spell of decent play at the start of the second half where Lee Gregory scored and pulled it back to 2-1 but it wasn't going to get any better and Birmingham got their third.
