Millwall 2 Fleetwood 1, League One, Game 14 , 22/10/16, att: 8,058 (89)

At least we didn't concede early in this game and we come away with the three points, Lee Gregory set us up for the victory when he buried a penalty after 30 minutes after Fred Onyedinma was judged to have fouled in the Fleetwood box. Gregory stepped up and thumped it into the bottom corner and with the Lions now in front we were looking for a home win and perhaps a solid win at that.Shaun Williams had come close about five minutes before the penalty with one of his specials that to me looked like it was in but a top drawer save by the opposition keeper just resulted in a corner.

Lee Gregory sinks his second pen

It did not take much time after the start of the 2nd half for us to extend the lead when Byron Webster who took a position in the Fleetwood box for a Williams corner ended up on the ground and for our second penalty of the game Lee Gregory buried the ball and all we had to do was work hard keep the northerners at bay and the three points were ours. On 65 minutes it was squeaky bum time when the away side pulled one back after once again we didn't cose down and they scored from about 20 yards out. We nearly scored again with 80 minutes on the clock when Gregory looking for his hat trick headed over the bar. We defended strongly with Lee Martin and Shaun Hutchinson now on the pitch and the three points was in the bag.
