Ian Holloway Joins Lions, do we call him Ollie?

6/1/2014- I didn't think he would come here so I am surprised but " I have a smile" This is going to be very interesting and I wish "Ollie" all the best and welcome to South London's finest.
I wonder if he will be briefed regarding the deadwood, probably not, he should be able to work it out for himself.

On reflection "Ollie" is so Surrey, so I shall be calling him Stan.

Now here's a young man who after completed his first eight games for the Lions comes across as a wise and experienced player.

I read this in the Southwark News ( 40p on a Thursday )

The fans want to see the Millwall way, a Millwall side playing proper football. This does not mean playing out from the back, over playing and passing into stupid areas. The fans want to see 100% passion, commitment and hard work. If you do these things the rest will follow.

Now there's a bloke who's bang on the money and coming from a Millwall family I am going to enjoy watching him become a Den favourite for years to come.

With the David Cameron press law taking up a lot of news print lately I have skipped over it because I found it very boring. I as a Millwall supporter get treated like muck by the press and the media in general but I do not agree with politicians telling us what we can and cannot say and that was as far as my interest went, but today I read a piece of news print that said "Ministers agreed to exclude small scale blogs" They do, do they, well bless them, who do they think they are? They have u-turned over small independent bloggers such as I. That's not the main story here, the main story is that " it's incredible that they tried to push this through in the first place" Under their original proposed press law, this very blog would come under the jackboot of the press-law police, and they say that UKIP are extremists.

The Football League is giving more football fans the opportunity to join The Changing Room – an online community of football fans.

Launched in January 2013, the online resource offers fans the chance to share their opinions through discussion groups, forums and surveys on a number of topics affecting The Football League, its member clubs and fans.

Following a successful initial recruitment drive that saw thousands of fans sign up, there is now a further chance for supporters to join The Changing Room and become a part of the action, where they can have a say on all things Football League related.

Members of The Changing Room have not only had the opportunity to communicate directly with each other and The Football League, but have a chance to get rewarded for their efforts along the way by being entered into exclusive prize draws.

Last month saw 20 lucky members given a pair of tickets to watch Bradford City v Swansea City in the Capital One Cup Final at Wembley Stadium in return for giving their views and feedback on the day’s events.

Feedback from the panel is reviewed at regular intervals by senior management at The Football League to help identify what really matters to supporters so they can put measures in place to help improve the overall fan experience.

Richard Heaselgrave, Chief Commercial Officer at The Football League, said, “The Changing Room is a great way to give fans a real voice when it comes to issues affecting their own club, as well as The Football League in general.

“Following an extremely positive response with the initial launch, the feedback we have received so far has been invaluable in helping to shape how we approach important issues within The Football League. We are keen to engage even more fans to increase the online community further and widen the collective voice.”

Football teams have many supporters

Football teams have many supporters and every single one of them as a opinion on the game, the players, their team, other teams, the managers, the officials, the owners and of course other fans. What I write in my Blogs is my opinion, my outlook and my thoughts on my team Millwall FC and the opposition they play (see my post "The reason for this Blogger") I try my best to be accurate with what I write and publish, but mistakes will happen so please forgive me if you spot one. ( I know my grammar is below par). Every picture or video that you see in my Blogspots were taken by myself or family members. I am not a professional (as you have probably noticed) I just try to get the camera straight and then click the shutter.

What they said about the Wigan flight

Did anyone hear Cllr Moores being interviewed on TalkSport on Monday afternoon concerning his company Air Ads. He took an order from some Millwall Fans to fly a banner over the Wigan Stadium after Sundays game where West Ham United were relegated saying ' Avram Grant a Millwall Legend'. Surely this was irresponsible as this could have inflamed trouble with the West Ham fans who must have been hurting at this point plus the scenes shown on Sky Sports News after the game showed some very angry West Ham fans confronting the Wigan Stewards. I would have thought the police would have something to say about this.

His company did a similar thing to when Blackpool fans paid for a banner to fly over the Preston fans when they were relegated and Preston boss Phil Brown commented that 'if he had a gun he would have shot it down'. Again this is done by people who know nothing about the emotion of the game of football.

The antics of some of our Cillrs makes you feel proud !!!!

Oh shut up you bunch of whining muppets. It was a laugh. Everyone was laughing at them anyway, we just did it even better. Surely you have something better to do than moan at Simon? Like polishing your best complaining pen or something. He is supplying a service - he is not the thought police, nothing was illegal, nothing was offensive, nothing was aggressive. Do you really think that if it kicks of between us and West Ham it will be because of the banner? And you say that Simon doesn't go to football! Mugs.

2/9/11 Nolu magazine and the Archbishop raise 600 quid by selling a commemorative badge of the above historic fly past with the money going to the charity, Jimmy Mizzen Foundation. Once again Millwall supporters show their generous side.

EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY

Well....apart from the away end.

I noticed early on that you cannot sit in the same old seat and take pictures and post them onto a blog over a number of years, it would all be pretty boring. Game in and game out it would just be the same old view from the same spot so variation is the key. Hopefully I have achieved a range of pictures that are different, interesting and show all aspects of the Den, and around the Den and also the players and us the supporters who fill it. Sometimes it can be a bit of a chore looking and finding for that different picture, sometimes it feels like that's the only reason that I go to the game but I try to make sure that the camera does not become king. For about 80 minutes of the game the camera is is my pocket.

Once circumstance allows hopefully I will start going away again and the addition of away pictures will add to my two Millwall blogspots picture collections and postings.
