Happy New Year and 40 points
A hour before kick off and after two consecutive defeats and no Chris Wood I was not to sure we knew what to expect from this one.
Bristol offered nothing in the first half and we should have been 3-0 up but had to settle for a Danny N'Guessen super goal and a 1-0 lead as we went in at half-time. The west country visitors raised their game for the second half and scored a goal which had the effect with me of sagging my shoulders and feeling gloom. I shouldn't have worried as we nearly scored again twice a minute later and went on to win the game when Adam Smith banged one home from a few yards out.
We seemed to have lost the final edge to our play but still had enough to finish off Bristol.
